The sign says “Welcome to Malibu, 27 miles of scenic beauty”. Tourist buses stop at the sign to allow for that picture perfect moment for their passengers. Malibu really is an amazing place to live. With a coastline that ranges from long deep sandy beaches to pebbles and rocks at the shore. Some of the world’s top surfing and water sports spots are located within these 27 miles. But the ocean is just a part of what Malibu has to offer. The Santa Monica Mountain range lies on the north side of Pacific Coast Highway and offers a multitude of activities to explore such as hiking, mountain biking, horse back riding, and camping to name a few. The natural habitat is another facet to the uniqueness Malibu offers. It would be hard to go through the day without having a dolphin sighting or a red tail hawk soaring above and during the migration season most locals will have a whale sighting story or two to tell.
The natural beauty that is inherent to Malibu only tells part of the story. Malibu is a community that brings a bit of utopia to your doorstep. Malibu embodies all that is good: good people, beautiful surroundings, and a community that cares about the quality of life - where people from the four corners of the world live and celebrate each day.
